About US

The Foodie Doula is a community-rooted food justice initiative working to build an equitable, healing-centered local food system. We operate at the intersection of nourishment, land stewardship, and collective care connecting small-scale farmers, community organizations, and families through intentional food delivery and education.

Our core program, the Community Supported Food Justice (CSFJ) Delivery Program, sources seasonal, organic produce and ingredients from local farms whenever possible to create healing, small-batch meals. These meals are prepared in partnership with local chefs and distributed to individual community supporters, and through community-based organizations to those experiencing postpartum recovery, grief, illness, or food insecurity.

Through our education and workshop series, we offer hands-on classes in home gardening, holistic meal prep, and ancestral healing foods. Each workshop is designed to strengthen food sovereignty skills, deepen community connection, and share accessible pathways to wellness through food.

Our goals are clear:

  • Strengthen local food systems by investing in BIPOC farmers and small producers.

  • Expand community access to nutrient-rich, culturally relevant meals.

  • Create dignified pathways for healing through food education and mutual aid.

  • Uplift collective care as an essential part of food justice.

Every plate we serve, every seed we plant, and every partnership we form moves us closer to a future where nourishment is accessible, sustainable, and rooted in justice.
